Nu se întamplă doar în php. Și în python am avut probleme cu virgula mobilă.

Trebuia să demonstrez că media și dispersia tind către valorile teoretice cand n tinde la infinit (pentru niște algoritmi de simulare a unor numere aleatoare cu diverse reparții). Din păcate, cu toate că algoritmii erau buni nu reușeam și pace. Din fericire, am descoperit și de ce:

În php (5.3.1 – cel puțin… și probabil în sus)… nu se mai întâmplă asta.
